Reason #2: Eat Dinner Together
Why is eating together important?
Numerous studies have found that eating dinner together as a family is a must for creating an open line of communication in the home. Even more, kids that grow up eating at the table with their families are 1/3 less likely to develop an eating disorder and kids that don't are 3 ½ more likely to develop a substance abuse problem.
Additionally, it's also the place where adults can pass on healthy eating habits ("You can leave the table when you've eaten 4 broccolis"), appropriate social skills ("Sammy, do not interrupt your sister") and get to know their families better. You can unwind, talk about your day, and laugh!
How can Let’s Dish! help?
Having Let’s Dish! dinners in the freezer ready to be grilled, popped in the oven or tossed in a skillet provide the perfect solution to the family on the go. Kids often come home after a long day and are starving. It's hard to resist the urge to go to the nearest drive through, pick up pizza and just go to the neighborhood fast casual restaurant. Knowing that there’s a defrosted diner in the fridge that simply needs to be cooked makes it easier to resist the temptation. There's no prep work, no following recipes and almost best of all, minimal to no clean up necessary. All you have to do is set the table, sit down and enjoy your time together!
